Digipac construction and screen grabs

This is a print screen of the digipac I am currently creating. I chose to this design as I think it links very well to the genre of the band and also the title of the track. I also like how much detail the wing has which makes the digipac individual.
I learnt how to use Illustrator and experimented with my design by using different colours and backgrounds. Illustrator is best to use for creating smooth, flowing shapes, I already have my design and I do not need to draw anything using the tools on Illustrator, which is why I chose to use Photoshop. I have also used Photoshop for many years which means I know a lot about the program.
I downloaded a digipac design off the internet and I am currently using it as a guideline with my work. Once I have finished I will obviously delete it. I then used the magnetic lasso tool to separate the three designs I drew.
Next, I am going to cut sections of the designs down and use them on the other sections of the digipac which are blank. I am doing this as I want all of the digipac to be full of detail and this will also link the whole digipac together.
