The Golden Ratio

“First, the golden ratio comes from nature; even the human body exhibits the golden ratio. Great works of art, ancient ruins and many artists used the golden ratio and there is a substantial body of evidence that shows it is not simply coincidence. If I was to compare another rule to it, I would have to bring up the rule of thirds.” The golden ration is very important when creating a professional piece of work as it is a sort of guide line, when creating a piece of work, similar to rules such as the rule o thirds. In this rule, the viewpoint needs to be the detailed section, and then its surrounding become less detailed as it gets closer to the corner of the page. I chose to look at this rule and link it with my chosen design as you can see I have used it, however, I have flipped this rule and the most detailed section of my design is the large wing in the left top corner.
As I have chosen this design which includes the wing I drew on my digipac, instead of drawing the design again, I copied and pasted the wing from one design on Photoshop to the other. I then added the manipulated photograph to the design and the band’s name in the same font as the digipac. The next post is in much more detail. I am going to begin editing my design to create my final poster design which will link well to the digipac I have created without looking exactly the same.
